Application No. 438/MUM/2015
Abstract : This novel invention provides a system which helps the umpire to make an instant decision in case of no-ball, run out and stumping in game of cricket. The umpires on the field at the time of game has not to depend upon third umpire review to take judgement. Based on capacitive proximity sensing, a metallic sense plate connected to microcontroller is installed under specific portion of pitch to sense whether the bowler steps inside or outside the popping crease at the time of delivery. Similarly, the pitch senses batsmans foot and bat surface for the case of run-out and stumping. The shoe which is to be sensed by the sense plate has its outsole covered by conductive rubber layer. The area of the bat that touches the ground is painted by the conductive adhesive to make it sensed by the sense plate.

Application No.201721003723 A
Abstract : The novel invention provides a system which aims to provide an instant judgement in ease the player reaches his own court by crossing a boundary according to the rule of game-play. By the help of electronic sensor, the human with or without the covering layer can be sensed when it comes in physical contact with the conductive layer of the sensing unit. The conductive layer is covered by the protective layer and is adhered on the surface adjacent to both the edges of crease according to rules of the sport. There is also a switching mechanism present such that the conductive layer in the opposite side of the crease is activated when the player is active in one side of the court. The crossing of line defined by the rule of the sport is indicated in form of light by using light emitting layer and also external sound emitting device. This can be seen by iht spectators and referees and further judgments can be carried on.

1) Electrode Wear Compensation in EDM: An ANFIS Approach
-
6th National Conference on Recent Advances in Manufacturing (RAM-2016)
Abstract : In present study, an attempt has been made to develop a compensation model for end wear of the tool electrode during EDM of titanium grade 5 alloy using planetary tool actuation. Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) along with the concept of linear compensation has been employed for developing the proposed model. Performance capability of the algorithm has been evaluated using a set of randomly selected experiments and the predicted results are found to be in good agreement with the actual results.
2) Numerical Analysis of NACA 0012 Airfoil with Venturi Cavity
-
6th International and 43rd National Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (FMFP - 2016)
Abstract : Aerodynamic characteristics of an extruded NACA-0012 airfoil with venturi cavity are investigated numerically under subsonic flow condition. Reynolds Stress Model (RSM) is used as a turbulence model. Parametric investigation is carried out for different position of venturi cavity and the area ratio of elliptical opening to round closing. An optimum geometrical configuration based on ratio of lift force to drag force is selected for further investigation. Relative assessment of plain airfoil with venturi airfoil is done for flow characteristics, drag force and lift force at different angles of attack and velocities. Venturi cavity reduces the pressure at rear part on an airfoil which results in enhanced lift force and affirms aerodynamic efficiency.
